Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Be Crash Free RiderCoach Certification Pre-Course Program?
The Pre-Course Program a comprehensive online learning experience incorporating video, audio, images, animations, text, PDFs, and interactive eLearning activities. It is designed to prepare you to be successful when you go to your 7-9 day on-site MSF RiderCoach Preparation/Certification Course.
Is Be Crash Free an recognized training provider for the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF)?
Yes. Be Crash Free is an MSF Recognized Training Provider.
Why should I do this program instead of just applying at a school?
To become an MSF-Certified RiderCoach, you do not NEED to take our online Pre-Course Program. You could apply directly to a 7-9 day RiderCoach Preparation Course without going through this program first. The reason we recommend completing our online Pre-Course Program is that your odds of successfully completing the 7-9 day on-site course and passing the tests are much higher after completing our program. In addition to preparing you for success in the Certification Course an on the tests, by starting the 7-9 day training with a thorough understanding of the curriculum, the content, and how to teach it, you will be a much higher quality RiderCoach when you graduate.
If you would like to apply directly to the 7-9 day certification course without this online pre-course program, here is a place to start: https://msf-usa.org/become-a-ridercoach/

How much is the tuition?
The tuition for this online Pre-Course Program is $350.
If I complete this online program, will that guarantee me a job as a RiderCoach?
No. While we will help you in finding a RiderCoach Certification Course and a school to teach at, we cannot guarantee that will happen.
Do all states use the MSF Basic RiderCourse?
No. While the MSF curriculum is used in most states, it is not used (or is used to a limited extent) in California, Idaho, Ohio, Oregon, and South Dakota. If you live in those areas, it may be difficult (or even impossible) to find a nearby rider training school. Getting into a MSF RiderCoach Preparation Course or getting hired as a RiderCoach in these states may not be an option.
